Gingerbread Layer Cake

Filled with clouds of whipped cream, this cake was Abraham Lincoln’s favorite Christmas dessert.

Ingredients:  honey, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, flour, baking powder, salt, butter, baking soda, brown sugar, grated lemon rind, egg, buttermilk, whipped cream, grated orange rind, grated semi-sweet chocolate.
